On Saturday 31 October, KHUTA Developments launched IONA Residence at Dusit Thani LakeView in New Cairo. IONA Residence is KHUTA's new residential project in the Sixth Settlement, near Sokhna Road. The evening featured the Egyptian singer Amal Maher, one of the best-known voices in Arabic pop, and Kee handled the invitations and the RSVP.

A launch like this brings a long and varied list: partners, brokers, clients and their companions, all invited on a short timeline. We sent the invitations on WhatsApp in batches as the list grew, each one carrying the launch artwork, the date, time, venue and the dress code, White and Beige. Guests answered with one tap, Confirm Attendance or Can't Attend, and the KHUTA team watched the replies come in.

The ticket worked differently from our usual events. Each guest received one QR code that covers them and everyone they were bringing, so a guest and their companions arrived on a single pass instead of one pass each. We delivered it as an image laid on the invitation artwork, so it arrived right in the chat and looked like part of the launch.

Because the allowance for each guest was set when they were added, KHUTA decided who could bring how many, and no guest was asked a question about it in the chat.
